Pimento Cheese Social at Farmington Historic Home

Another Derby has come and gone. It is a bittersweet time for Louisvillians, but luckily we have the photos to remind us of all the fun times we had. This was taken at the Pimento Cheese Social hosted by Original Makers Club and Garden & Gun Magazine. It was an evening of lawn games, Bourbon and, of course, Pimento Cheese.

Limbwalker Tree Service Launches New Website

We have sung Limbwalker’s praises many times before. When it comes to tree and lawn care, they really know their stuff. We recently launched their updated website, complete with detailed service descriptionsphoto gallery, a handy service calendar so clients can be aware of when various treatments are done throughout the year and an easy-to-use estimate request form.

Check out the new site here.

Louisville Visual Art Association Presents the Bacon Ball

We are all looking forward to a little night out on the town tomorrow night at Louisville Visual Art Association’s annual Bacon Ball….because nothing can make a night out a little more exciting the way that bacon can.

The Bacon Ball will be a night of dancing, drinking and, of course, bacon! Party guests can sample bacon dishes from tons of local restaurants, including Proof on Main, our neighbors at Blind Pig and one of our favorite Germantown haunts, Eiderdown.

Tickets are $25 for LVAA members and $35 for non-members. All proceeds from ticket sales and the evening’s silent auction will benefit JCPS Student Art Supply Fund, LVAA’s Children’s Fine Art Classes (CFAC) and their Open Doors program. You can buy your tickets online by clicking here and tickets will also be available at the door. It isn’t too late to join us, and hundreds of other bacon-loving Louisvillians, for what is sure to be a great evening benefitting three important local causes.

Mindsalt collaborates with local developers on hotel website redesign

We love what 21c has done for Louisville by bringing contemporary art to an audience who may not get a chance to experience it otherwise. A drink or two (or three) at Proof on Main followed by a stroll through the Museum makes for a pretty perfect night if you ask us. And other cities will soon have the chance to share in the 21c experience. 21c Museum Hotel Cincinnati will be opening later this year, followed early next year by 21c Museum Hotel Bentonville.

We had the opportunity to work with 21c on the redesign of their current sites for 21c Museum Hotel Louisville and Proof on Main and also implementing a plan for their rapidly growing brand. Saying that this was a huge project would be an understatement. We brought in Jet A Studio, a local development team to handle the heavy lifting on the back-end. Together with the 21c crew, we all made a great team and after a little bit of mandatory blood, sweat and tears we launched the new sites last Friday evening.

We couldn’t be happier to see our designs come to life because this isn’t just any ol’ hotel website. You can learn about upcoming events (Yoga with Art, anyone?), view Museum exhibitions, embrace your inner foodie with recipes from Proof on Main, or bring the 21c experience home with the 21c Shop.

Next up, we will be launching full sites for their two new locations in Cincinnati and Bentonville and preparing for wherever they break ground next!

Scrabble Typography Edition

Have you ever looked at your Scrabble set and thought about how much more exciting it would be if the letters on those little tiles were written in your favorite typeface? Okay, maybe not. But your favorite type nerd probably has and this would be perfect for them. Andrew Capener of Polaroids and Paragraphs created the Scrabble Typography Edition and in his version of the popular game the letter tiles come in assorted fonts. No longer must you be confined by the typeface chosen for you by Hasbro. Throw in a couple of beers and it looks like Friday night to us.
