mindsalt sponsors PJ Party @ 21c
This year mindsalt is proud to be a key sponsor of the 5th annual PJ Party at 21c Museum Hotel. The annual fundraiser is held by our friends at ICAF and 21c Museum Hotel in support of several local non-profit arts organizations, and we’re happy to do what we can to support these groups. Beneficiaries this year include the Louisville Leopard Percussionists, the Art Program at Maryhurst, Louisville Youth Choir, River City Drum Corps, Lincoln Elementary Performing Arts School, and LVAA Children’s Art Classes.
The party is June 12, 2010. Things kick off at 7pm at with a family-friendly street celebration on 7th Street between Main and Market in downtown Louisville. Everyone will be wearing their favorite pajamas, so make sure you dress the part!
If you’re looking for something a bit more adventurous, be sure to stick around for the AfterParty at 21c. We hear they have some very interesting entertainment planned!
To donate to the fundraiser and receive a ticket to the summer’s best party, please visit www.pjpartyat21c.org. We hope to see you there!

We’re very excited to unveil the latest venture started by members of mindsalt – the modulR iPad Case and Accessory System. Debuting at SXSWi this week, the modulR system is a durable, ergonomic case for your iPad that is compatible with modulR accessories, including a wall mount, car mount, stand, strap and more.
Designer Mike Casto and Mindsalt strategist Josh Beatty are launching the company with help from the rest of team Mindsalt. The idea for modulR arose from the desire to see the iPad reach its full potential and truly become a “go anywhere, do anything” device.
You can learn more about modulR at www.modulRcase.com.

Welcome to 2010, everybody! We might not have flying cars or cities on the Moon just yet, but we’ve found a few other things worth looking forward to this year.
Finishing the new office
We’re still working on the new mindsalt office space, but we’re finally able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. (And you can be certain that it’s a beautiful, very well-designed light.) As 2010 progresses, the construction noise will fade and the dust will settle, and our home away from home will be ready for prime-time.
Expanded interactive capabilities
As the resident geek at mindsalt, I’m looking forward to our continued expansion into the interactive realm. We’ve got a couple ideas for iPhone and web applications in the pipeline, and we’re expanding our work in the social media realm as well. Gotta keep up with the times, you know.
Other predictions for 2010:
- the long-awaited Apple Tablet is released; it’s almost as successful as the iPhone
- the new University of Louisville downtown arena opens; the increased foot traffic downtown almost makes up for the horrendous automobile traffic the arena creates
- e-books grow in popularity; I break down and buy a Kindle to avoid the headaches I get from reading on my iPhone
Stay tuned to the blog to hear how these predictions pan out. Happy new year!
