welcome to a new year

Welcome to 2010, everybody! We might not have flying cars or cities on the Moon just yet, but we’ve found a few other things worth looking forward to this year.

Finishing the new office
We’re still working on the new mindsalt office space, but we’re finally able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. (And you can be certain that it’s a beautiful, very well-designed light.) As 2010 progresses, the construction noise will fade and the dust will settle, and our home away from home will be ready for prime-time.

Expanded interactive capabilities
As the resident geek at mindsalt, I’m looking forward to our continued expansion into the interactive realm. We’ve got a couple ideas for iPhone and web applications in the pipeline, and we’re expanding our work in the social media realm as well. Gotta keep up with the times, you know.

Other predictions for 2010:

  • the long-awaited Apple Tablet is released; it’s almost as successful as the iPhone
  • the new University of Louisville downtown arena opens; the increased foot traffic downtown almost makes up for the horrendous automobile traffic the arena creates
  • e-books grow in popularity; I break down and buy a Kindle to avoid the headaches I get from reading on my iPhone

Stay tuned to the blog to hear how these predictions pan out. Happy new year!
