Mushrooms, 3-D animation and mindsalt
We recently had the opportunity to create a brochure for The Underglow, a unique and exciting project by artist Chris Doyle. Presented by Louisville-based artwithoutwalls, The Underglow is a video animation that is being projected from the U.S. ambassador’s residence in Stockholm, Sweden onto the frosty, snow-covered ground of the public park that it overlooks.
The 3-D animation, born out of Doyle’s discovery of Swedes’ love for mushrooms, depicts a field of bioluminescent mushrooms, glowing, pulsing and morphing into different colors, representing different sources of light. You can learn more about the project here.
Read on to see images from the premiere of the installation, as well as excerpts from the brochure. Enjoy!
Adventures in Composting
Here at mindsalt we all care about this Earth and do what we can to improve and protect it. We recycle, some of us have gardening aspirations, and some of us have actual gardens. I (Tarah) thought about composting for a long time before I actually took the leap and decided to give it a try. There are tons of benefits – less food waste, free fertilizer, and just maybe that extra push I need to turn my gardening dreams into a reality this year. Stay tuned for updates on the progress of this and other earth-saving adventures brought to you by the mindsalt team.
