Mindsalt recently created a campaign that highlights one of our favorite aspects of Louisville – our remarkable tree heritage. From Frederick Law Olmsted’s legacy of tree-lined parks to the new government-led “City of Parks” initiative, Louisville loves trees. To celebrate this aspect of our city, we worked with Limbwalker Tree Service to create the Love Louisville Trees campaign.

As long-time residents, we can sometimes forget to stop and appreciate the beautiful old trees that line our roads and parks, or the diverse arboriculture that exists in the city. Love Louisville Trees aims to remind residents of the value and importance of our trees. Join the Love Louisville Trees Facebook page to participate in the discussion, or show your love by picking up free stickers at Heine Bros and Quest Outdoors locations.

And, best of all, don’t forget to enter the Love Louisville Trees “Best Photo in Louisville” contest! You can win a night in a tree boat and other fun prizes. To enter, find a tree you love, snap a photo and post it to Love Louisville Trees Facebook page. You’ll be helping to create Louisville’s first tree photo album and, if your photo is chosen as Louisville’s favorite tree, you could win an unforgettable day of tree climbing, followed by a night under the stars in a tree boat (Not sure what a tree boat is? Find out here.)
