We’ve moved! After a week of packing and hauling boxes, we’ve settled into our new space at 1205 East Washington St., Suite 108. Please make a note of our new address. You can download our vcard to automatically update your address book.

The dust is still settling, but we’re all excited about our new digs. So excited, in fact, that we made a little movie about our move. It features an extended jam session a minute or so in, so kick back and enjoy.

Mindsalt just wrapped up a fun interactive project for 21c Museum Hotel. 21c asked us to create an interesting teaser page for their soon-to-be-launched online Museum Shop. The goal for the teaser page was to show people a sample of the products that will be offered for sale, and to create a memorable experience that people will want to share with their friends. We also wanted to give users a small taste of the overall 21c experience. To do so, we took our inspiration from a popular piece of interactive art found in 21c’s lobby. ‘Text Rain’ (shown below) allows viewers to catch virtual falling letters that are projected onto a screen. For our project, we created a web page in which products fall across the screen. You catch the products with your mouse, then letters fall down the screen to spell the title of the product. All in all, it’s a fun distraction that should keep people interested in the upcoming launch of the full e-commerce store.

A long-time mindsalt client has a new feature film coming out on the big screen across America this holiday season. Hart/Lunsford Pictures, an independent film financing and production company, is releasing ‘Me and Orson Welles’ on November 25. The film, which was directed by Richard Linklater and stars Zac Efron, Claire Danes, and Christian McKay, debuted at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this year to audience acclaim. The critics loved it as well, with Roger Ebert calling it “one of the best movies about the theater I’ve ever seen.”

The national opening of the film marks an exciting first for mindsalt – the logo we designed for Hart/Lunsford Pictures will be shown in the opening credits of the film, where it will be seen by millions. (Look ma, we’re famous!)
